Mr. Kenny, operator of the Sanitary Market in Westernport for 33 years, died unexpectedly about 8 a.m. Monday morning while at work in his store. Death was the result of a heart attack. Born at Elk Garden, Mr. Kenny was a son of the late John and Mary Veronica (Brophy) Kenny. He was a graduate of Potomac State College, Keyser and was married 26 December 1925 to the former Miss Anna Geraldine Moffatt of Oakland. For many years an active member of the Democratic Party, Mr. Kenny was a former member of the Allegany County Board of Election Supervisors, a former member of Alcoholic Beverages License commissioners. He was a member of the Frostburg Elks, a past commander of Victory Post 155 American Legion, and a past commander of Mountain District, American Legion. At the time of his death he was a director of the First National Bank of Piedmont. Mr. Kenny was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church; the Holy Name Society of the parish; Piedmont Council 685, Knights of Columbus, and the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mary Ellen (Harold) Moran, of Westernport, and Miss Martha Ann Kenny, R. N., at home; three sons, James E. Kenny Jr., William M. Kenny and Patrick J. Kenny, all at home. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Mae White, Canton, Ohio; five brothers, Frank Kenny, Canton; Richard Kenny and Bernard Kenny, both of Westernport; John Kenny, Elk Garden, and Thomas Kenny, Mt. Savage, and four grandchildren Honorary pallbearers were Raymond C. Hudson, Guthrie Luke, J. Milton McIntyre, Dr. Robert W. Bess and W.
