Description	:	James H. Huddleston Jr., 89, of Ottumwa, died at 8:10 a.m. March 7, 2021 at Vista Woods Care Center. He was born August 19, 1931 in Ottumwa to James Henry and Sylvia Irene Humble Huddleston Sr. He married Bonnie McCoy on April 1, 1951. A 1950 graduate of Ottumwa High School, he served in the U.S. Army from May of 1952 to May of 1954. He worked 22 years at John Morrell and Co. until the plant closed in 1973. He was born August 19, 1931 in Ottumwa to James Henry and Sylvia Irene Humble Huddleston Sr. He married Bonnie McCoy on April 1, 1951. He then worked 17 years at John Deere Ottumwa Works, retiring in 1992. He was a member of CIO union and Local #74. He enjoyed fishing, hunting. and gardening. Surviving is his wife, Bonnie; three children, Walter Kent (Rhea) Huddleston of Bonaparte, Rae Lynne (Kerry) Albertson of Fremont and Lu Anne (Greg) Johnson of Lenexa, KS; eight grandchildren, Augustus B. (Bethany) Huddleston, Caleb L. Huddleston, Ryan R. (Heather) Thompson, Rick J. (Jessica) Thompson, Amy N. Albertson (fiancé Andrew Hayes), Kristofer M. (Lisa) Davis, Chris (Becky) Albertson, and Dustin Albertson; 12 great- grandchildren, Dakota, Madison, August and Cierra Huddleston, Carter, Caysen, Chase and Reese Thompson, Natalie and MaKenna Albertson, Natalie and James Daniel "Jack" Davis; a sister, LuEllen Maxine Worth of Ottumwa. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Lisa Gay Huddleston; 2 sisters, Ruth Bridgman and Marianne Pantano; three half-brothers, Carl, Earl and Walter Huddleston; two half-sisters, Olive Briden and Hallabell Jones. Private funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday March 10th at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Hornback officiating. For those unable to attend, you may watch live on the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery with military services conducted by Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars and O.B. Nelson Post #3 American Legion. Visitation will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 9th at the funeral home.
