Description	:	DIED--At his home, five miles east of Fairmont on Tuesday, March 26th, at 4 o'clock a.m., James H. Lefler, aged fifty-five years and eight months. Deceased had been in ill health for over three years and cause of death is given as kidney trouble. He leaves a wife and six children; four brothers and five sisters. One of the sisters is Mrs. J.M. Mr. Lefler served during the Civil War in the 14th Iowa Infantry and located in York county in 1879. He took charge of the C.M. Phillips farm in this township three years ago and made many warm friends wherever known. The relatives have the sympathy of all in their sorrow. Brother of Eliza Lefler Hall. Roy Fillmore Lefler was the youngest son of James Lefler. He was born nov. 4, 1889 in Fairmont, NE, and died on Jan. 13, 1976 in Montery, CA.
