Description	:	James Hilton, son of Irvin (sic) and Catherine Magee, was born October 12, 1860 and passed away at his home in Chester, Nebr., January 4, 1946 at the age of 85 years, 2 months and 23 days. He was baptized in the Christian church at Martinsville, Missouri at the age of 20 years and was a faithful member until ill health prevented him from attending services. He was a firm believer in his Savior to the last. He united with the Chester Christian church in 1901. He was united in marriage to Susanna Kephart, August 15, 1900. ... He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, three sons and one daughter, Ival (sic) Magee of Chester, Irvin Magee of Hastings, Nebraska, Homer of Los Angeles, California, and Mrs Martha Mohrbacker of Marysville, Kansas; also seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. One daughter, Mrs Ethel Kephart preceded him in death. Funeral services were held from the Christian church in Chester with the Rev N.T. Harmon in charge, Sunday, January 6th. Burial was in the Chester cemetery (sic). ---------------------------------- NOTE: James was the son of Irwin and May Catherine (Gibbany) Magee. His grandparents were James D. Gibbany (1792-1878) and Persis A. Henton (1799-1860).
