Description	:	OBITUARY - James J. Hogan, 79, 710 South Sixth, Marysville, died Sunday, October 17, 1971, at Community Memorial hospital where he had been a patient two days. Services will be held this morning at 11:30 a.m. from St. Gregory's Catholic church, with his son, the Rev. Patrick G. Hogan, Eudora, officiating. Burial will be in St. Gregory's Cemetery with arrangements by Kinsleys. Recitation of the rosary was held last night at 8 p.m., followed by a Knights of Columbus scripture service at 8:30. Born July 13, 1892, at Kimeo in Washington county he was the son of Michael and Sarah Martin Hogan. He was married October 4, 1920, to Florence Rombeck, and they were the parents of five sons and one daughter. He had lived at his present home since the time of his marriage. He was a member of St. Gregory's Catholic church and of the Marysville Council Knights of Columbus. Preceding him in death were his wife on December 13, 1943, a daughter, Rose Hogan Henderson, his parents, three brothers, Joseph, Thomas and William Hogan, and one sister, Catherine. Survivors include his sons, Rev. Patrick G. Hogan, Eudora; Francis Hogan, Orville J. Hogan, Micheal M. Hogan, all of Marysville, and M-Sgt. Clarence J. Hogan, Ft. Bragg, NC.; three sisters, Mrs. Wm. (Elizabeth) Ring, Marysville; Mrs. Wes (Anna) Nespor, Endicott; Mrs. Harold (Margaret) Buck, Hanover; one brother, John P. Hogan, Topeka, and 16 grandchildren. ---
