Mass of Christian Burial was at 10 am Wednesday at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, the Rev. George Bertels officiating. Rosary was at 7:30 pm Tuesday at St. Gregory's. Burial was in St. Gregory's Cemetery with arrangements by Kinsley. Clara Miller was the organist at the service and Mary Steichen was the vocalist. He attended MHS and served with the Navy Seebees during World War II. He married Gevene Shaffer, Jan. 22, 1953. They were parents of two sons and two daughters. He was a member of St. Gregory's Church and the American Legion. He was employed by the L.J. Webb Construction ?Co. of Geneva, NE, as a bridge foreman. Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers, the Rev. Patrick Hogan and Orville Hogan, and a sister, Rose Henderson, and a son-in-law John Wagner. Survivors are his widow of the home; his children, Jolene Wagner, Great Bend, Dennis Hogan, Blue Rapids, Robert Hogan, Marysville, CA, and Mary Hogan of the home. four grandchildren and two brothers, Marion Hogan, Marysville, and Clarence Hogan, Waterville.
