His last hours were cheered by the arrival of his sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Warner, also their daughter Mable, of U.S., and a friend Mr. Aldrich. His mother was called, but she and another sister, Mrs. E. Powers, Halifax, did not arrive until after his spirit had taken it’s flight to be forever with the Lord. The funeral was held on Saturday p.m., at the Methodist church, where a large concourse of friends and relatives met in deepest sympathy for the bereaved widow and six little children, also his widowed mother and other relatives. The body was laid to rest in the cemetery adjoining the church property. The services were conducted by Rev. W.R. Turner. And special mention might be made of the excellent music by a male choir led by Mr. Blake Armstrong.
