Moore, well known and highly respected resident of the Calvary section, died suddenly at his home there while watching television Wednesday evening, of heart trouble. MOORE DIED SUDDENLY Mr. James M. Moore, well known and highly respected resident of the Calvary section, died suddenly at his home there while watching television Wednesday evening, of heart trouble. He had been in poor health for some months. Born here, he was 78 years of age. His parents were the late Hance and Peggy Sterling Moore. His entire life was spent in this community. Mr. Moore was a retired seafood packer. For 27 years he was associated with the L. R. Carson Co., a large seafood concern, and before that time had been engaged in the same business with other firms. A man of mild manner, high principle, energetic and dependable, he had been well known by watermen from all parts of the Bay and had a large circle of warm friends here and in other sections of tidewater, who held him in high esteem and regard, and during his life he had been helpful to others, liberal, and with a great measure of sympathy for those in sorrow or distress. For years he had been a Steward of Asbury Methodist Church and a member of the Men's Bible Class there. Funeral services will be held in Asbury Methodist Church Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Frank A. Baker. Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Alice Ward Moore, with whom he celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary March 13th of this year, two children, Mrs. Clarence Butler, Sr., and Harry Moore, all of Crisfield, a granddaughter, and a great-grandson, and one sister, Mrs. Jennie Tull of Philadelphia.
