Description	:	James M. Crandell was born in Switzerland County, Indiana, November 20, 1847; passed away from this life May 26, 1917, at the home of John Reeve, at Eldororado Springs, Missouri. He was married to H. A. Palmer Oct 22, 1871. To this union were born three children, 2 daughters and 1 son. The wife passed away March 20, 1874 (sic). The daughters, Mrs. Henry Peters of Angus and Mrs. Will Peters of Edgar, both survive him and his son James passed away in infancy. He was married the second time to Sarah I. Crandell was born in Switzerland County, Indiana, November 20, 1847; passed away from this life May 26, 1917, at the home of John Reeve, at Eldororado Springs, Missouri. He was married to H. A. Palmer Oct 22, 1871. To this union were born three children, 2 daughters and 1 son. The wife passed away March 20, 1874 (sic). The daughters, Mrs. Henry Peters of Angus and Mrs. Will Peters of Edgar, both survive him and his son James passed away in infancy. He was married the second time to Sarah I. Osborn December 17, 1879. To this union 11 children were born, 8 boys and 3 girls; John of Nelson, James of Corona, California, Everett of South America, Fred of Toledo, Ohio, Earl of Okmulge, OK., Joe, Willie, Jessie and Goldie of Vernon, Colorado. Two daughters, Verda and Lillie have passed on. Mr. Crandell came to this county in the fall of 1872 living here until 7 years ago, when he moved to Yuma, Colorado, where he still resided. He united with the Christian Church in Oxbow in 1880, and remained a faithful Christian 'till the time of his death. He was a member of the Masonic Order; also the Ancient Order of United Workmen and the Degree of Honor. The funeral was held from the Christian Church Thursday afternoon.
