Description	:	Alice Eliza Crandell was born to James and Hanna Crandell near Nelson in Nuckolls county (sic), Nebr., on Mar. 6, 1876. She departed this life on Feb. 2, 1952, at the Bryan Memorial hospital (sic) in Lincoln, Nebr., at the age of 75 years, 10 months and 27 days. Her own mother passed away at the time of Mrs. Peters birth. She was reared by her Aunt Alice and Uncle George Crandell as one of their own children. On Dec. 21, 1896, she was united in marriage to William August Peters. To this union were born seven children. In early married life, Mrs. Peters was united with the Christian Church at Oak. Her membership was later transferred to the Oxbow church (sic). She had continued faithful in her work with the Oxbow and later the Angus church. She was preceeded in death by her husband and her two youngest daughters, Ruby and Lillie. Her five children who remain are: Mrs. Pearl Melvin of Edgar; Mrs. Lois Strawser of Lincoln; Clark Peters, of Hastings and Ralph and Robert Peters of Edgar. All five of her children were with her at the time of her death. Also surviving are her 13 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Mrs. Rhoda Peters; 2 foster sisters, Mrs. Oscar Asmus and Mrs. C.J. Werner; one half-sister, Mrs. Goldie Gardell and four half-brothers, Earl, Evert, Joe and Jessie Crandell. In life she was a kind, loving wife and mother. Her going is mourned by many friends and loved ones. Services were conducted from the church building of the Angus Church of Christ at 2:30 on Wednesday, Feb. 6, with Don DeBord in charge. Vocal music was furnished by a trio composed of Mrs. Archie Melvin, Mrs. Mertin McCartney and Mrs. Don DeBord. Instrumental music was provided by Mrs. Chas. Skinner at the piano.
