MYRON FLUMMER Funeral services were held Monday, September 24, 1979 for James Myron Flummer, 87, Eureka, who died September 22 at Greenwood County Hospital. The Rev. Gilbert Daniel of the Christian and Congregational Church was the officiating clergyman, and arrangements were conducted by Campbell Funeral Home. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery. Born on June 30, 189 to Allen Flummer and Louisa Gamble Flummer, in Eureka, he taught school in rural Eureka and in Climax, Severy and Wichita. He was also the superintendent of the Sedgewick County Boys Ranch for several years. Mr. Flummer moved form Wichita to Eureka in 1966, where he was a member of the Christian Church, He married Alma Miller on November 26, 1917, in Eureka. She died August 7, 1969. Surviving are one sister, Minnetta Croft, Santa Cruz, Calif.; five nephews, Allen Flummer, Carbondale, Ill., John Ceideburg, Redondo, Claif., David Ceideburg, Eugene, Ore., Robert Flummer, Riverside, Calif., Ralph Flummer, address unknown, and Arthur Mattingly and Raymond Flummer both of Eureka; and one niece, Vessie Huston, Eureka. Preceding him in death were two brothers, four sisters and a daughter, Erma Luella, who died shortly after birth on September 30, 1923.
