Description	:	James M. Clark, 43, owner and manager of the Pocahontas Coast to Coast Store since 1959, died unexpectedly at 10 a.m. Dec. 11 after suffering a heart attack. Funeral services were held Dec. 13 in the Methodist church with burial in Summit Hill cemetery. Rev. E.C. Boulton officiated. The Powers Funeral Home was in charge. A son of Mr. and Mrs. George Clark, he was born at Blue River, Wisc. He was a veteran of World War II and was stationed at Pearl Harbor when attacked. He was then commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the Air Force and was later taken a German prisoner and was imprisoned for two years. He was married in 1946 to Harriet Shipley at Boscobel, Wisc. For five years Mr. Clark was assistant plant manager for Borden Co., then went to Mayville, Wisc. as plant manager for Stock-Gro Co., after which he returned to Boscobel where the couple operated a Ben Franklin Store until coming to Pocahontas. He was a member of the American Legion and took an active part in the local Chamber of Commerce. Survivors include his widow; two sons, one brother who resides in Wisconsin, and four sisters, three of whom live in Wisconsin and the other in Illinois. [From The Rolfe (Iowa) Arrow, Dec. 19, 1963.
