Description	:	August 1, 1907 Indianola Herald James O Adamson, who was born near Ankeny, Iowa, on the 23d day of April, 1858, died at Spring Hill, Iowa, on the 20th day of July, 1907, at the age of 49 years, 2 months and 27 days. His parents moved to Ackworth when he was 5 years old. Here he grew to manhood, and married Lizzie N. Hayes. To this union were born four children, two of whom died in early youth. Read More	August 1, 1907 Indianola Herald James O Adamson, who was born near Ankeny, Iowa, on the 23d day of April, 1858, died at Spring Hill, Iowa, on the 20th day of July, 1907, at the age of 49 years, 2 months and 27 days. His parents moved to Ackworth when he was 5 years old. Here he grew to manhood, and married Lizzie N. Hayes. To this union were born four children, two of whom died in early youth. Mr. Adamson was a member of the Yeoman fraternal organization, which had charge of services at the grave. He was converted in the meeting held by Rev. R.E. Johnson last winter. Here he gave himself up to God, and his hand to the M.E. Church. He was faithful in his endeavor and through his suffering was greatly sustained by the hope of a blessed mortality. Besides his wife, son Fred and daughter Florence, he leaves two sisters and one brother. Services were conducted at the M.E. Church by the pastor, who spoke on John 11:25-26, after which the remains were laid away in the Spring Hill Cemetery. The family offers sincere thanks to all friends who assisted in the sickness, death and burial of their husband and father, and especially to the Yeoman lodge for assistance given. # # # August 15, 1907 Indianola Herald Resolution of Respect Hall of Middle River Homestead, No 338 B.A.Y. Whereas, it has please almighty God to remove from our midst our dearly beloved brother, Archer J.O. Adamson. Be it resolved, That in the death of Archer Adamson, this lodge has lost a true Yeoman, the community a respected citizen and his family a kind husband and loving father. Be it further resolved, That this lodge extend to the bereaved family its heartfelt sympathy, that a copy of these resolutions be sent to his family also to be spread on the lodge minutes and the charter be draped in mourning for thirty days.
