He was reared and educated in this community and at the age of 18 he united with the Methodist church. Into this home were born four children: James David, 11; Betty May, 8, Laurilla Marie, 6, and Wilber Franklin, 2. Besides his wife and children he also leaves his mother, Mrs. Mary E. Garst, one sister, Mrs. Bessie Dameron of Beloit; four brothers, Purl of Peoria, Colo., Mark of Minneapolis, Kansas, Alfred of Concordia, and Lafe of Chester, Nebraska. Lafe (?? should be Wilbur?) was a loyal, active member of the American Legion. His wife and children have the sympathy of the community in their sorrow. Funeral services were held at the Glasco Methodist church on Thursday, March 21, Rev. R.R. Braddick, officiating. Interment was made in the Glasco cemetery.
