Description	:	Daughter of Joseph F. & Maud A. Hastings Brechner Jane F. Sauerbrei, 88, of Waverly, died Saturday, June 26 at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo of natural causes. She was born May 21, 1922 in Vinton, daughter of Joseph F. and Maud A. Hastings Brechner. On July 24, 1942, she married Forrest James Sauerbrei at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Waverly. Mrs. Sauerbrei graduated from Waverly High School in 1940, then attended Wartburg College, Waverly. Read More	Daughter of Joseph F. & Maud A. Hastings Brechner Jane F. Sauerbrei, 88, of Waverly, died Saturday, June 26 at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo of natural causes. She was born May 21, 1922 in Vinton, daughter of Joseph F. and Maud A. Hastings Brechner. On July 24, 1942, she married Forrest James Sauerbrei at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Waverly. Mrs. Sauerbrei graduated from Waverly High School in 1940, then attended Wartburg College, Waverly. She was a charter member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, where she had been a Sunday School superintendent. She was also a charter board member of the Waverly Hospital Auxiliary and had served as president of DAR. Survived by her husband; four sons, James (Paulette) of Marengo, Bill (Patty) of Waterloo, Bruce of Waverly, and Brian (Jan) of Iowa Falls; two daughters, Ann (Larry) Pfantz of Marshalltown, and Mary (Carl) Achenbach of Anamosa; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by one infant brother, Charles Brechner; and one sister, Ellen Brechner. Services 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, with burial in Harlington Cemetery, both in Waverly. Public visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly.
