She was baptized and received her First Holy Communion at St. Joseph's Church in Earling, Iowa. After attending school in Earling she moved to Dunlap with her parents in 1955. They were blessed with three daughters,... Read More	©The Dunlap Reporter June 02, 2006 Jane M. Eggers Jane Mary (Block) Eggers was born on August 9, 1946 to Herman and Marie (Kloewer) Block. She was baptized and received her First Holy Communion at St. Joseph's Church in Earling, Iowa. After attending school in Earling she moved to Dunlap with her parents in 1955. She graduated from Dunlap High School in 1964. Jane moved to Des Moines, Iowa and worked for Pioneer Seed Company. On May 31, 1968 Jane was united in marriage to Larry Eggers. They were blessed with three daughters, Susan, Jennifer and Christy. Jane worked for 25 years at Commercial Optical Company in Omaha, Neb., then at M. J. Optical Company until being diagnosed with cancer in 2001. She fought a long and courageous battle and passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 2, 2006 in Omaha, Neb., at the age of 59. Jane was a fun loving person and truly enjoyed her family and grandchildren. She was always concerned about others and never about what she was going through. Jane was preceded in death by her father, Herman; brother, Tom and her grandparents. Funeral services were held at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Omaha, Neb., on Friday, May 5, 2006 with burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Dunlap, Iowa. Pallbearers were Scott Kizer, Bill Nelson, Dave Houston, Larry Baldwin, David Grindle and Ralph Yaple. Honorary pallbearer was Raymond Sorenson. Funeral arrangements were made by Korisko Larkin Staskiewicz Funeral Home in Omaha, Neb.
