She died while at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center. Jane and her loving husband, Darr, were wintering in Arizona City, Ariz., at the time of her death. Memorials can be made to Central Church of Christ and/or Platte Valley Bible College. Jane was born May 5, 1933, in Scottsbluff, to Ralph and Dorothy (Ferbache) Morrison. She grew up in the Mitchell Valley and attended Haig School until eighth grade. In 1951, she graduated from Gering High School. As a teenager, she obtained her pilot's license and earned her commercial license a few years later. On Aug. 19, 1956, she married the love of her life, Darr John, and resided in Gering. Together they had four children, James, Judy, Trudy and Debbie. Jane loved her family and devoted her life to them. She was instrumental in starting the Gering Girls Softball Association and the gymnastics program at the YMCA in the early 1970s. She was her children and grandchildren's biggest fan. She and Darr never missed a sporting event, dance recital or music concert. She was also very involved in her church. For several years, she and Darr were in charge of the nursery program and taught Sunday school. She loved playing the piano for all the little ones and listening to them sing. Every person that met Jane was graced by her friendliness and love. People were drawn to her infectious laugh and giving personality. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
