Description	:	RALPH MORRISON FUNERAL TODAY Scottsbluff Star Herald Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m at the First United Methodist Church in Gering for Ralph Morrison prominent rancher, farmer and livestock dealer. He died at the age of 72 at his home on Route 1, Mitchell on Monday afternoon. He was born Sept 5, 1897 at Esterbrook, Wyo. He came to the Valley with his parents in 1898. He died at the age of 72 at his home on Route 1, Mitchell on Monday afternoon. He was born Sept 5, 1897 at Esterbrook, Wyo. He came to the Valley with his parents in 1898. He attended school at Haig and graduated from Scottsbluff high school. He attended Scottsbluff Business college and the College of Agriculture at Nebraska University in Lincoln. He married Dorothy E Ferbrache at Kimball on October 8, 1922. He and his wife have farmed and ranched in Mitchell Valley since that time. The Morrisons have owned and operated the Morrison Livestock and Commission Co. since 1949. The firm moved to its present location in Gering in 1958 which was leased to another operator last year. Morrison was awarded the Provider of Plenty recognition by the Scotts Bluff Federal Land Bank in 1967. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Gering, the Nebraska Farm Bureau and was president of the Mitchell Irrigation District for the past 30 years. He is survived by his wife: four daughters, Mrs Frank Tate, Mrs June Knoles and Mrs Darr John, all of Gering and Mrs. Dale Lang of Auburn, Wash; three brothers, Amos, Harold and Paul, all of Route 1 Mitchell: three sisters, Mrs Dessa Allison of Gering, Mrs Mildred Morrison and Mrs. George (Esther) Miller, both living in California and 11 grandchildren.
