Description	:	Janet Bain Ford, 66, of Fairfield, formerly of Birmingham, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at her home in Fairfield. Born Aug. 26, 1941, in Fairfield, she was the daughter of Willis W. and Ruth A. Miller Bain. She married John Ford in Salem. They later divorced. Ms. Ford worked at Sheaffer Pen Co. in Fort Madison. She also worked in restaurants in Mount Pleasant and cooked at Maharishi University in Fairfield. She graduated from Harmony High School in 1961. Survivors include one son, Neal Ford of Fairfield; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Joan Orton of Denmark, Judy Hamm of Meta, Mo., and Connie Hummell, Candy Huston and Cristal Bain, all of Mount Pleasant. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday before the service at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mount Pleasant. The funeral for Ms. Ford will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Robert Hamm officiating. Inurnment will be in Forest Home Cemetery at a later date. A memorial has been established.
