Read More	The Billings Gazette Billing, MT. 10/24/2003 Friday Page 18 Janet Whitney Mysse INGOMAR, MT. ----- Janet Whitney Mysse, 67, of Ingomar, passed away Monday, Oct. 20. 2003, at the St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings following a heart attack. Janet was born Aug. 24, 1936, in Minneapolis, MN., the daughter of DF, Richard A. and Maude Van Sickle Whitney. She spent her youth and attended school in Cambridge, MN. In 1951, her father purchased Dr. Tarbox's medical practice in Forsyth. Janet continued her schooling in Forsyth, graduating from Forsyth High School in 1954. She attended University of North Dakota, graduating with a BS in occupational therapist from 1960 - 1962 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. MD.; and at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Washington, D.C., from 1962-1964. On Aug 29, 1964 Janet married Sivert Mysse in Forsyth, MT. They made their home on the Mysse Ranch near Ingomar. She continued her work as an OT consultant at the Big Horn County Memorial Hospital and Big Horn County Nursing Home in Hardin from 1975- 1977. Janet continued working on the family ranch and n=began her business in sweater design and retail sales of wool products. She was a talented knitter and seamstress, having published seven books on knitting, as well as having her knitting patterns appear in several national magazines. Janet judged needlework competition at numerous fairs. She was also a trustee of the Forsyth High School District for six years and a member of the Montana Woolgrower Women, having served as president. Janet also enjoyed refinishing antiques and caning chairs. She cherished memories regarding her travels to Kyrgyzstan, in the former Soviet Union and Germany. She is survived by her husband Sivert, of Ingomar; her three sons, Sivert of Laurel, MT., Richard of Havre, MT., and Johnathan of Ingomar, MT.; her sister, Patricia (Dick) Dross of Great Falls, MT., and two grand children, Kate, and Jess of Laurel. Janet was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Beals Mortuary Chapel with interment in the Forsyth Cemetery. Beals Mortuary of Forsyth is assisting the family with these arrangements.
