Mrs. Morrill was taken to the Norfolk hospital after surgery to stop the bleeding was not successful at the local hospital. In the car with Mrs. Morrill was her three daughter Amy, Theresa, and Julie, plus Laura Morrill Daughter of Mr. & Mrs Dale Morrill. Extracted from: The Creighton News, 11 Dec 1969 ===================================== Mrs. Morrill's Funeral Held Here Dec.16 Funeral services for Mrs. Janet Morrill, 31, who died Dec. 14 in a Norfolk hospital of injuries stained in an automobile accident in Creighton 10 days earlier, were conducted Tuesday morning, Dec. 16, at the United Methodist Church in Creighton. The Rev. Edgar Gershon, pastor, presided. Burial as in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank Roubick, Perry Adams Jr., Miltan Jesnen, Milton Brandt, Galen Stevens and Harvey Sorensen. Janet Elaine Keck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Keck, was born June 3, 1938, at Wakefield. She was baptized in the Wakefield Methodist Church on Mother's Day in 39. She moved with her family to Creighton in 1940 and attended the public school. She was active in school activities and was valedictorian of her class upon graduation. She attended Wayne State College for two years. She taught in the Wausa Public Schools for two years and one year at the Pleasant Hill unit of the Creighton Public Schools west of Creighton. On Aug. 14, 1961, she was united in marriage to Max B. Morrill at the United Methodist Church. They lived on a farm west of Creighton. Two sons and three daughters were born to them. Mrs. Morrill was an member of the United Methodist Church. At the time of her death she was president of the Women's Society of Christian Service. She was also a member of the PEO Sisterhood, Chapter EJ. Her husband preceded her in death in January of this year, also a victim of a motor vehicle accident. Surviving are her children, Roger, age 7; Todd, 6; Theresa, 5; Julie, 3, and Amy, 2 also her parents; two sisters, Stanley (Doris) Montgomery of Royal and Linda Keck of Lincoln, and two brothers, Darrell of Plainview and Curtis of Creighton.
