Read More	FASSNACHT, JANICE JEANETTE—Janice Jeanette Fassnacht was born to Henry H. Blanke and Fern Cruse Blanke on August 29, 1934, at Geneva and passed away March 31, 1987, at home in rural Sutton at the age of 52 years, 7 months and 2 days. She was one of three children in the family. Janice graduated from high school in Geneva and attended Doane College for one year and was married in 1953. She lived near McCool Junction on a farm for five years, and then moved to the Sutton area where she resided until her death. She received an associate degree in social services from Central Community College, Hastings, in 1979. Janice was married to Harley Paul Fassnacht of Fairmont on June 5, 1953, and to them three children were born. She was a member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Sutton, and a member of St. Mark’s Ladies Aid. Janice was preceded in death by her father, Henry Blanke of Geneva, and mother, Fern Blanke of Geneva. She is survived by her husband, Harley Paul Fassnacht of Sutton; a son, Daniel Fassnacht of Lincoln; daughters, Diane Crouch of York and Carolyn Sullivan of Aurora; a daughter-in-law, Jamie Fassnacht of Lincoln; sons-in-law, Russell Crouch of York and Michael Sullivan of Aurora; brothers, Henry Blanke Jr. of Lincoln and Jack Blanke of Omaha; three grandchildren, two aunts and three uncles. Funeral services were conducted from St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sutton on Friday, April 3, with Pastor David F. Schultz officiating. Sharon Baumann accompanied the congregation which sang, “I Know That My Redeemer Lives,” “Jesus lead Thou On,” and “I’m but a Stranger Here.” Pallbearers were Eugene Huntley, Dwight, and Ramer Fassnacht, Milford Griess, Kenneth Nunnenkamp, and James Thompson.
