Description	:	Janice Lynn Bussard, the daughter of Raymond L. and Inez (Harvey) Snavely, was born on September 24, 1943 at Superior, Nebraska. She passed away on April 5, 2005 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings at the age of 61 years, 6 months and 12 days. Janice was the youngest of three children. Read More	Janice Lynn Bussard, the daughter of Raymond L. and Inez (Harvey) Snavely, was born on September 24, 1943 at Superior, Nebraska. She passed away on April 5, 2005 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings at the age of 61 years, 6 months and 12 days. Janice was the youngest of three children. She was baptized at the Baptist Church at age 10. She attended Superior grade school and graduated from Superior High School in 1961. On May 1, 1993 she was united in marriage at Superior, Nebraska to Robert (Buzz) Bussard. They lived in Cortland, Nebraska then moved to Superior. One of Janice's favorite pastimes was playing the rhythm bones, a talent taught to her by her Grandpa Harvey. No one else is the family has ever accomplished this unique talent. She also loved fishing, pool, shuffle board and bowling. She was the comedian of the family, always making every one laugh. Janice loved Elvis' hymns and would sit on her front porch sharing his music with the entire neighborhood. Janice had a great love for cats, two of them being Lucky and Snoop, they were her "kids" as she always called them. Janice lived in the communities of Lincoln, Nebraska; Chicago, Illinois; Fontana, California; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; San Antonio, Texas; Kansas City, Missouri; Hutchinson, Kansas and Superior, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Michael at birth and her husband, Robert on June 26, 1996. Survivors include her sister, Barbara Grisham and husband Jim of Superior, Nebraska; stepsons, Stuart Bussard and wife Sherry of Lincoln, Nebraska; Lawrence Bussard and wife Susie of Wilber, Nebraska; stepdaughters, Peggy Johnson and husband Bruce of Washington State; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Memorial services were held on Monday, April 11, 2005 at 11:00 AM from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Rod Thelander officiating. Music was "Footprints" sung by Carol Shambaugh, and recorded music "Where No One Stands Alone" and "If We Never Meet Again"with Carlita Erickson as organist. Honorary Pallbearers were Ron Ahrens, Alan Wilton, Jerry Grove, James Sumpter, Jack Clark, and Larry Woerner. Interment was in the Nelson Cemetery at Nelson, Nebraska. Megrue-Price Funeral Home of Superior, Nebraska was in charge of the arrangements.
