Read More	Inez Irene Snavely, daughter of Harve and Elsie (Malley) Harvey, was born in Tryon, Nebraska, on June 10, 1920, and passed away Thursday, November 25, 1993, at Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital in Superior, Nebraska, at the age of 73 years, 4 months and 15 days. When she was a young child, the family moved to Nelson, Nebraska, where she attended school, graduating from Nelson High School with the Class of 1939. September 9, 1939, in Mankato, Kansas, she was married to Raymond L. Snavely. This union was blessed with two daughters and a son. After their marriage they lived in Minatare, Nebraska, then to Superior, then to Des Moines, Iowa, and back to Superior. While living in Superior, she was employed at Hested's, Ben Franklin and Wages Variety. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Nelson and the Eagles Auxiliary of Superior of which she served as president for two terms. Inez actively involved herself in politics and corresponded with her representatives from Congress and the Nebraska Legislature on a regular basis. When she was particularly concerned about impending legislation, she was known to collect signatures and petition the government for changes to public policy. She loved sports and enjoyed growing flowers and designing them into beautiful arrangements. She was frequently doing special things for others, often placing their needs before her own. Whether it was writing letters to family members, sending greeting cards to friends, or baking for special occasions, it was her own way of telling you from her heart that she cared. She especially loved her grandchildren and always kept abreast of their interest. She had been a resident of the Superior Good Samaritan Center since July 9, 1993. Her husband joined her August 24. She hadn't been well for the past three years. Preceding her in death were her father and an infant son, Michael. Survivors include her husband Raymond of the Good Samaritan Center; two daughters, Barbara Grisham and her husband, Jim, of Superior and Janice Bussard and her husband, Robert, of Cortland, Nebraska; her mother, Elsie Harvey of Deshler, Nebraska; three sisters, Esther Meyer and her husband, Donnie, of Superior, Nebraska, Lynn Moore of Denver, Colorado, and Ilene Heidtke and her husband, Robert, of Phoenix, Arizona; one brother, Lester Harvey, and his wife, Millie, of Treynor, Iowa; four grandchildren, Kent, Rod and Brook Thelander and Becky Grisham; three step grandchildren, Marsha Webber, Kim Tinsley and Craig Grisham; seven great grandchildren; six step great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Monday, November 29, 1993, at 2 p.m. from Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, Nebraska, with the Revs. Rod Thelander and Brook Thelander officiating. Music was provided by soloist, Carol Shambaugh, singing, "Precious Lord, Take My Hand" and "The Old Rugged Cross", with Carlita Price as organist. Casketbearers were Craig Grisham, Tom Rymph, Michael Webber, Don Shellhase, Jaramie Grisham and Barney Frietag. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery near Nelson, Nebraska.
