She was married to Delos Walsh February 2, 1902 at Bristow, where they made their home for many years, later in 1945 moving to Dumont. DELOS WALSH FUNERAL TUESDAY Mrs. Delos Walsh, nee Janna Weiland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Weiland, was born March 11, 1881 at Bristow. She was married to Delos Walsh February 2, 1902 at Bristow, where they made their home for many years, later in 1945 moving to Dumont. Here they lived happily together in the home with their daughter and family, Mrs. John Pohl until her sudden death Saturday, March 18. She reached the age of 69 years and 7 days. Two sons and two daughters were born to this union. They are John of Waterloo, Mrs. John Pohl and Mrs. Steve Piper of Dumont. Floyd passing away in 1936. One brother Simon Weiland and one sister Flora Ehler were also deceased. Besides the sorrowing husband and children she is survived by a brother, Ralph Weiland of Bristow, a sister Mrs. Rachel Petersen of Webster City, ten grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends who mourn her sudden departure out of this life. During their residence in Bristow they united with the Reformed church and faithfully attended. After moving to Dumont for several years the deceased was afflicted with ill health. Later she and her husband made the Reformed church here their place of worship and were faithful in attendance until shortly before her death. Recently they made request for transfer of their church membership. Mrs. Walsh was a member of the Reformed Ladies Aid Society and the Oak Hill Cemetery Society. She took pleasure in visiting the house of God and said the Word of God as proclaimed was a great source of comfort to her. Her quiet presence and influence will be greatly missed in her home and in our circles. Her passing from the earthly pilgrimage to eternal rest is a loss to loved ones and many of us. Her reward is according to her faith and life. The funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 P.M. at the home and 1:15 at the Reformed church with Rev. H. J. Potter officiating with Rev. E. Miller assisting. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery. A mixed quartet composed of Arthur Siebrands, Phyllis Meinders, Mrs. Ben Hovenga, Jr. and George Reiners sang "Saved by Grace," "Good Night and Good Morning" and "Softly and Tenderly, Jesus is Calling". Accompanied by Mr. George Reiners at the piano.
