Read More	SHACKELFORD, JASON DOYLE—Jason Doyle Shackelford was born in Indiana May 8, 1872. He departed this life at his home in Geneva, Neb., Sunday, January 27, 1946, aged 73 years, 8 months and 19 days. He was united in marriage to Cora Viola Fox, April 15, 1896. He lacked only a few months of living to celebrate his golden wedding anniversary. Mr. Shackelford lived in Fillmore County seventy-three years. He came here with his parents when a small child, the family settling in Chelsea township. His father, A. C. Shackelford, was a pioneer blacksmith and Jason assisted him, their shop being on the farm a number of years. Then they moved to Geneva and continued their business. When his father retired, Jason continued the work. He was a skilled workman and his well-equipped shop drew trade from a large territory. He retired from the business three years ago because of failing health. He was a member of the Geneva Masonic lodge for more than fifty years. The lodge presented him a fifty-year medal recently. He treasured and prized it clearly. He leaves to survive his passing, his devoted wife, Cora, of Geneva and a brother, Frank of Minneapolis, Mich.; and several nephews and nieces. He will be greatly missed by his relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, at the Kritner Funeral Home in Geneva. Rev Ben F. Wallace officiated. Interment was in the Geneva Cemetery. The Masonic order was in charge. Pallbearers were Percy Bedford, Mervin Bedford, Clarence Newman, Karl Brinkman, W. A. Biba and Ralph Reemts. Among the out of town relatives present for the funeral were: Frank Shackelford of Minneapolis, Minn.; Mrs. Eva Wolverton of Shelton; Mrs. Zella Schoenholz and Mrs. Royal Hardinger of Davenport. Card of thanks: For the many expressions of kindness and sympathy, for the floral tributes and the words of comfort, we do thank the many friends and neighbors. To Mrs. Mary Theer and Mr. and Mrs. John Weis, we wish to express our deep appreciation for their unusual thoughtfulness during the illness and death of our husband and brother. Mrs. Cora V.
