Description	:	Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Jason Seaman. Mr. Seaman passed away Thursday, August 6, at the Ahrens Rest Home in Clarksville. Jason Seaman, son of John J. & Mary (Shillito) Seaman was born in Redfield, Iowa September 12, 1885. During his youth he lived in Kansas & later the family returned to Iowa & located at Seymour. Read More	Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Jason Seaman. Mr. Seaman passed away Thursday, August 6, at the Ahrens Rest Home in Clarksville. Jason Seaman, son of John J. & Mary (Shillito) Seaman was born in Redfield, Iowa September 12, 1885. During his youth he lived in Kansas & later the family returned to Iowa & located at Seymour. In 1915 Mr. Seaman was married to Iva Belle Adams. They were the parents of one daughter Ruth Elizabeth. Mrs. Seaman died in 1921. In 1932 he married Mrs. Wilma Van Slyke of Clarksville. They lived in Cedar Rapids until 1950 when Mr. Seaman retired from the Quaker Oats Company after completing 30 years of services. They have since resided in Clarksville. Mr. Seaman is survived by his wife, a daughter Mrs. Charles Evans of Walcott; three stepchildren: Mrs. Paul Gale of Waterloo; Moses Van Slyke of Cedar Rapids & Mrs. John Noland of San Diego, California; three grandsons, Dennis, Danny & David Evans of Walcott; a brother Virgil Seaman & two sisters, Mrs. Grace Hall & Mrs. Gladys Odam.
