On July 8, 1919, he was born in Rock Enon, Missouri to the late Henry Madison and Frona Ellen (Enloe) Hunter. On October 18, 1941, he was married to Irma Lee (Althoff) who preceded him in death on May 23, 1987. On March 24, 1992, he was married to Lois Victorene (Graham) Curty, who survives in the home. On October 18, 1941, he was married to Irma Lee (Althoff) who preceded him in death on May 23, 1987. On March 24, 1992, he was married to Lois Victorene (Graham) Curty, who survives in the home. Those surviving him are nephew, Wayne Dummermuth of California, Missouri; two nieces, Sharon Shackelford of Jefferson City, Missouri and Roseanne Rohrbach of Roeland Park, Kansas; brother-in-law, Stanley Dummermuth of California, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Arlene Dummermuth of California, Missouri, Myrtle Curty of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Eva Bond of Eldon, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Irma Lee (Althoff) Hunter, two brothers-in-law, Gene Rohrbach and Carl Winferd Bond, and by a sister-in-law, Evelyn Rohrbach. Jasper graduated from Enon Public School and Olean High School. He was one of the organizers of the Olean School Reunion and served as president of the reunion for eighteen years. He was employed by Glenn L. Martin Aircraft in Baltimore, Maryland and transferred to the Omaha, Nebraska plant before entering military service. In World War II, he served in Europe with the 1402 & 1405 Army Air Transport Command as an airplane mechanic. Following his discharge he returned to the farm near Enon. He was asked to serve as Assistant Program man for the Moniteau County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service. Government policy changed, and he was asked to serve as parts manager for Tri-County Tractor Sales in Eldon, Missouri which Howard Currence had just purchased. He retired from there in 1984. He served as Deacon in Rock Enon Baptist Church where he was Ordained on May 18, 1947. He also served in Enon Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Eldon, Missouri whe re he was currently a member. He was licensed to preach by First Baptist Church on December 30, 1984. He was called to Pastor Hopewell Union Church and in the one hundred and twenty-five plus years of the church he was the first asked to serve as Pastor of all three congregations (Baptist, Christian, & Presbyterian). After some seventeen years of service, he retired due to his health. Visitation will be held on Friday September 18, 2009, from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Eldon, Missouri, with the Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 PM at the church. Interment will follow at the Enloe Cemetery near Russellville, Missouri. Officiating will be Rev. Randall Bunch, Rev Bob Buster, Rev. David White, and Rev. Randy Smith. Memorials for Jasper are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Eldon, Missouri.
