Description	:	Jean E. Grossenbacher, age 82, of Hickman, died Monday, July 09, 2012. She was born on November 18th 1929 in DuBois, Nebraska to Rollie and Emma Knox. She graduated from Pawnee City High in 1948. Following she moved to Lincoln where she was employed at Eilgin Watch Co. On April 23rd 1949 Jean was married to Dale Grossenbacher in Lincoln Ne. Jean continued working for the Elgin Watch Co for 4 years. She then stayed at home to raise a family. After the children were all in school she went back to work for the Lincoln Public Schools until moving... Read More	Jean E. Grossenbacher, age 82, of Hickman, died Monday, July 09, 2012. She was born on November 18th 1929 in DuBois, Nebraska to Rollie and Emma Knox. She graduated from Pawnee City High in 1948. Following she moved to Lincoln where she was employed at Eilgin Watch Co. On April 23rd 1949 Jean was married to Dale Grossenbacher in Lincoln Ne. Jean continued working for the Elgin Watch Co for 4 years. She then stayed at home to raise a family. After the children were all in school she went back to work for the Lincoln Public Schools until moving to Denver Colorado in 1982 then to Pawnee City in 1983. Jean started working at the Pawnee City Manor in 1992 where she worked for eight years in the dietary department. Her husband Dale went into rebuilding wrecked cars and selling them. They enjoyed doing this together until 1995 when her husband Dale had a massive heart attack. After his death in 1995 she sold her home and moved to Holland Ne. in Oct of the same year. She then went to work for the Norris School District in the lunch room. After 8 years at Norris she retired in 2003. Survivors, daughter Vicki, son Steve & daughter in law Pam, son Scott, 5 grandchildren Tyler, Ashley, Trevor, Josh and Stevie Rae. Preceded in death by husband Dale, brothers John, Rollie Jr., & Kenneth Knox, & sister Doris Brown. Memorials in care of the family to be designated later.
