Jeff was born in Vermillion on June 24, 1947 to William Joseph and Mary Suzanne ("Susie") Albers Radigan, the third of eleven children. Jeff was born in Vermillion on June 24, 1947 to William Joseph and Mary Suzanne ("Susie") Albers Radigan, the third of eleven children. He was a 1965 graduate of Vermillion High School and the owner of his first business in Vermillion at age 20, when he purchased The Varsity. He later began R-Pizza and part-owned The Prairie in Vermillion and for 27 years owned and managed Whimp´s Steakhouse in Burbank. With his son, he also designed and owned downtown Vermillion´s Main Street Pub and, recently, the next-door business, Maya Jane´s. Jeff was not only a businessman but also a philanthropist, often donating anonymously to children´s and other local causes. He enjoyed hosting USD sports teams for free annual dinners at Whimp´s. He was a long-time member of the Vermillion Volunteer Fire Department. Jeff is loved and survived by his wife, the former Carron Cole Reddick; his daughter, Kristine (Troy) Gregoire, and his son, Todd (Molly) Radigan, both of Vermillion; his five granddaughters, Shelby, Victoria, and Madison Gregoire and Maya and Callie Radigan; his former wife of 25 years, Bonnie Ellefson Radigan of Vermillion; his stepchildren, Richelle (Brett) Netzer of Omaha and Michael and Taylor Reddick of Vermillion; his stepgrandchildren, Treyden and Kelsey; his six brothers, William (Jane) of San Antonio, Texas, Steven of Sioux Falls, Gregory (Diana) of Vermillion, Daniel (Melissa) of Sioux Falls, Kelly of Frisco, Colorado; and James of Immokalee, Florida; his three sisters, Suzanne Radigan and Laurie (Michael) Kruse of Vermillion and Carol Radigan of Palmdale, California; and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Robert, his parents, and his Irish twin brother, Randy. Jeff also is survived by a supportive community of transplant patients, whom those who loved him had prayed he would join; his many Vermillion friends, especially his poker buddies at Whimp´s, and by his second family there. An evening prayer service will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Vermillion on Monday, December 1st, at 7:00 p.m.; visitation will precede from 5:00 to 7:00 that evening. A funeral Mass will be said at St. Agnes on Tuesday, December 2nd, at 11:00 a.m, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Vermillion.
