Hamilton d. cert 26344 indicates a birth year of 1860 ------------ Moravia (Special) - Mrs. Nettie Hamilton, 80 pioneer resident of near Moravia died Sunday night at 10:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ruth Simbro, near Glenwood, Mo. Mrs. Hamilton was born near Moravia, the daughter of Abraham and Ruth Hiner. In 1877 she was married to Frank Hamilton and they would have celebrated their 64th anniversary the 20th of this month. All her life was spent in or near Moravia. Until 1920, the Hamiltons lived on a farm and that year they moved to town. In 1940 they moved back to the farm. For the past four years Mrs. Hamilton has been in failing health and her condition was critical during the past week. She was a great flower lover and had many fine blossoms about her home. A fine woman, she had many friends, who mourn her death. In death she is survived by her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Simbro, Mrs. Jennie DeHaai of Monroe, Ia. and Mrs. Flossie LeMaster, of Albia; two sons; Homer and Cass both of Moravia; two sisters, Mrs. Lee Ann Main and Mrs. A. W. Kincade, besides 28 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the U.B. church in Moravia, Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with Mrs. Vera Zike in charge. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery, west of Hilton, beside a son Harry, who preceded her in death. The body is at the Swaim funeral home.
