Description	:	Mrs. Wm. Brand, 79, Dies in Knoxville Mrs. William Brand, 79, passed away at the De Jong nursing home in Knoxville on April 15, 1961. Mrs. (Jennie) Brand was born the daughter of John and Gertrude De Wit on April 24, 1881, at Pella, Iowa. In 1903 she married William Brand. They became the parents of three children, all surviving: Verne of Fremont, Mrs. Henry (Henrietta) Dykstra of Pella and Mrs. Henry (Margaret) Van Dusseldorp of Leighton. Also surviving are four grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, a brother William De Wit of Pella and sister, Mrs. Bessie Kruseman of Oskaloosa. Her husband... Read More	Mrs. Wm. Brand, 79, Dies in Knoxville Mrs. William Brand, 79, passed away at the De Jong nursing home in Knoxville on April 15, 1961. Mrs. (Jennie) Brand was born the daughter of John and Gertrude De Wit on April 24, 1881, at Pella, Iowa. In 1903 she married William Brand. They became the parents of three children, all surviving: Verne of Fremont, Mrs. Henry (Henrietta) Dykstra of Pella and Mrs. Henry (Margaret) Van Dusseldorp of Leighton. Mrs. Brand was a member of the Central Reformed church of Oskaloosa at the time of her death. Funeral services were held at Central Reformed church April 18 with Rev. David A. Laman officiating. Casket bearers were Peter Vischer, Louis and James Wanders, Harry Brand, John Ed Klein and Gilford Winegar. A family prayer service preceded at the church. Interment was in Black Oak cemetery with Garden Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. (From the Pella, Iowa, Chronicle, April 27, 1961)
