Description	:	MRS. JENNIE VROOM Mrs. Jennie Vroom of Pella was buried Jan. 26 in Black Oak Township Cemetery following funeral services at 1:30 p.m. at Third Reformed Church. The Rev. Kenneth A. Dykstra officiated. Mrs. Vroom died Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 24, at Collins Memorial Hospital, Knoxville. She was 81. Born Dec. 18, 1891, in Mahaska County near Pella, she was the daughter of Ebele and Neisji Verros Dykstra. She attended Pleasant View School while living with her parents near Pella and Leighton. Born Dec. 18, 1891, in Mahaska County near Pella, she was the daughter of Ebele and Neisji Verros Dykstra. She attended Pleasant View School while living with her parents near Pella and Leighton. In 1912, she was married to Cathrenes (Rene) Vroom near Leighton and the couple farmed in the Leighton and Oskaloosa areas. Mrs. Vroom moved to Pella in 1946 where she lived until her death. Surviving are her three children, Mrs. Ernest (Mary Jane) Blom and John Vroom, both of Pella; and Mrs. Henry (Verniece) Grootveld of rural Ottumwa. Eleven grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren also survive, along with a brother, Tunis Dykstra of Leighton, and two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Elizabeth) Van Maanen and Mrs. Anthony (Margaret) Huyser, both of Pella. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter who died in infancy and a daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Margaret) Pitman; a granchild, Ernest Blom, who died in infancy, a great-granddaughter, Debra Vander Pol, two brothers, Tim and one who died in infancy; and two sisters, Mrs. Ben (Charlotte) Sedrel and Mrs. Peter (Nettie) De Jong. Mrs. Vroom made profession of her faith at Ebenezer Reformed Church in Leighton and was a member of Pella's Third Reformed Church at the time of her death.
