Description	:	Jennie Howard was born February 13, 1872 at Falls City, Nebraska. She attended school at Genoa, Nebraska. At the age of sixteen, with members of her family, she traveled by covered wagon to what is now known as the Rosebud Agency. There she made her home for several years. On October, 11, 1893, she was untied in marriage to the late Alex Charbonneau. To this union, ten children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons and two daughters. She attended school at Genoa, Nebraska. At the age of sixteen, with members of her family, she traveled by covered wagon to what is now known as the Rosebud Agency. There she made her home for several years. On October, 11, 1893, she was untied in marriage to the late Alex Charbonneau. To this union, ten children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons and two daughters. After her marriage to Mr Charbonneau, they made their home in Todd County, South Dakota. There they ranched for many years. In 1912, the family moved to Valentine for the purpose of educating the children, while still operating a small ranch in South Dakota. Mrs Charbonneau had made her home in Valentine for forty seven years. The latter years of her life were spent visiting in the homes of her children. She was an ardent lover of life and had adapted herself to it's many changes. With a keen mind, she could recall the hardships of pioneering and by it's teachings never lost, the desire to help those in need. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for thirty five years. She was a communicant of St John's Episcopal Church. She leave to mourn her passing, Sam of Salem, Oregon, Jack of Newcastle, Wyoming, Susan Barnett of Englewood, Colorado, Mrs Loyde Meisner of Phoenix, Arizona, Mrs Walter Barneby of Julesburg, Colorado, Mrs Frank Stedry of Norfolk, Nebraska. She reared four step children, three of whom preceded her in death, with Mrs Delia Viena of Hollywood, California, survivng.
