MILLER- In the death of Mrs. Jennie I. Miller, the Table Rock community has lost one of its most esteemed citizens. Her death occurred at the McCrea hospital, at 10 o'clock on Sunday morning, after an illness of several weeks. She was the widow of David K. Miller, for many years president of the State Bank of Table Rock, and after his death she and her sons carried on the business of the bank, until they sold it to a Lincoln gentleman. Mrs. Miller was born at Hawley, Wayne County, Pennsylvania, February 26, 1855 and was 71 years, 1 month and 4 days old at the time of her death. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Taylor, and came to Nebraska with her parents in 1858. They lived on a farm between Table Rock and Pawnee City until she grew to womanhood. On October 10, 1878, she was united in marriage to David K. Miller. Three children Robert, Gordon, now living in Denver, and Mabel, Mrs. C. R. Anderson now living in Henry, Nebraska. Since the death of their mother, her two grandsons Gordon and Edward have made their home with her, and to them she devoted all the energies of the last years of her life. She was for many years a member of the Presbyterian church and when the body united with the Methodist church, she cane with it and remained a member of that church until her death. To her church she was devoted and faithful, giving liberally of her means for its support, and in every other way proving her loyalty. As a mother her children and grandchildren were always her first love, and no sacrifice was too great for her to make for their welfare. As a citizen, Mrs. Miller was always ready to aid any movement for the moral, spiritual and material welfare of her home community. As a friend she was faithful and true and many homes in Table Rock will feel a personal loss in the passing of Mrs. Miller. To the mourning children and grandchildren, and other relatives, goes out the sympathy of the community in their loss.
