In Memorium- Mrs. Isabella Taylor died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jennie I. Miller, at 6:30 o'clock Monday evening. She has been in poor health for some time. She was probably the oldest person in Table Rock, having celebrated her 90th birthday on August 18th. Isabella Robertson was born in Orkney, Scotland, August 18, 1821, came to America when a young girl, and was united in marriage to Robert Taylor at Wilkesbarre, Pa., October 12, 1850. They resided in Pennsylvania until 1857, when they came to Nebraska, settling on a farm between this city and Pawnee City until about fifteen years ago, when they retired from active life and moved to Pawnee City; her husband died July 30, 1901, and she continued to make her home at Pawnee City until the last year, when the condition of her health made constant care of her a necessity and she made her home with Mrs. Miller, although retaining her furnished home at Pawnee City. The funeral services were held in the Presbyterian church in this city, the pastor, Rev. C. P. W. Wimberly, preaching an appropriate sermon and the remains were taken to Pawnee City cemetery and layed to rest beside those of her husband. Mrs. Taylor was a lovable woman; a devoted wife and mother; a consistent christian; the privations of pioneer life were bravely born and in all things that pertain to make better the conditions of life of those less fortunate than herself, she ws liberal and to her daughter, grandchildren and other relatives she leaves the impress of a well-spent life. She was a member of the Presbyterian church in Pawnee City, and her faith and hopes in her Savior sustained her through life and in her dying hours.
