She was born in North Carolina on May 31, 1890, to John and Molly Luther. She married Ernest A. Hice in North Carolina in 1915. They came to Washington to make their home on East Foster Creek, then moved to Bridgeport in 1923 where she was an Avon representative for over 50 years. She was born in North Carolina on May 31, 1890, to John and Molly Luther. She married Ernest A. Hice in North Carolina in 1915. They came to Washington to make their home on East Foster Creek, then moved to Bridgeport in 1923 where she was an Avon representative for over 50 years. Mrs. Hice was a longtime member of the Assembly of God church. Survivors include one son, Howard Hice, Bridgeport; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, one son and two infant sons. Services were held Saturday, January 13, 1990 at 10:00 am from the Barnes Chapel in Brewster with Reverend Michael Swensrud officiating. Interment in the Bridgeport Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Fund. Services under the direction of Barnes Chapel, Brewster. Preceded in death by sister Sallie Bell Luther Sluder (1893-1986) and brother Othel Elbert Luther (1896-1941).
