Mrs. Herbert Galitz sang "Going Home" accompanied by Mrs. J. C. Wilson. Obituary - Jennie May Ackley was born November 9th, 1869 in Atchison County, Missouri, just three miles from Hamburg, Iowa. She was the daughter of Eli and Susan Reeves Ackley, and one of six brothers and two sisters, all of whom preceded her in death. She was married on October 7th, 1891, to John Wesley Sample. They were married at Sidney, Iowa but came immediately to Nance county, Nebraska where they established their home on a farm. In 1914, Mr. and Mrs. Sample moved to Wolbach. Mr. Sample died July 26th, 1927. She was united in marriage on May 1st, 1930 to Frank B. Thompson, who passed away on March 3, 1938. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Nettie May. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Nellie McCaslin, a son, Cecil Sample, and six step-children. She is also survived by one grandson, Melvin Sample, now in the United States Air Force, Lackland Air Base, San Antonio, Texas. Melvin lived with his grandmother six years while attending school in Wolbach. She united with the Methodist church while in Iowa and transferred to the Wolbach Methodist church in 1918. At the time of passing she was also a member of the Rebecca Lodge in Wolbach. She passed away April 30th, 1951 at her home at the age of 81 years, 5 months and 21 days. She leaves to mourn her passing in addition to her immediate relatives, a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
