He had entered the hospital Sunday. John Cecil Sample was born July 20, 1902, the son of Wesley and Jennie Sample, on a farm east of Wolbach, Nebraska. He had entered the hospital Sunday. John Cecil Sample was born July 20, 1902, the son of Wesley and Jennie Sample, on a farm east of Wolbach, Nebraska. He departed this life on Sunday, December 6, 1964 at the Fullerton Hospital at the age of 62 years, 4 months and 16 days. He received his education at schools in Greeley and Nance Counties, where he grew to manhood. He later attended the Lincoln Business College. Most of his life was spent at farming in Nance County. He was married to Clara Thompson in February, 1928. He was a member of the Wolbach Methodist Church. He had retired from farming several years ago and had moved into Wolbach. After the tornado May 5, 1964 damaged their home they moved back to the farm and just several weeks ago had moved to Fullerton. Preceding him in death were his parents and two sisters, Nettie and Nellie. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Clara and one son, Melvin of Dallas, Texas and two grandchildren.
