Description	:	Owing to the fact that The Liberal was published before the funeral of Mrs. J.L. Burt was held, on account of Thanksgiving, we were unable to print the obituary and notice last week. The funeral was from the Methodist church and no better testimony could be paid to the deceased that the large number of old neighbors, who came in through the cold to pay their last respects to the departed. Jennie Rea was born in Antram County, Ireland, March, the 24th, 1846. She moved with her parents to Wellington County, Canada, when ten years of age. Sept. 17, 1865 in the city of Elvra, Garafraxa Township, Ontario, she was married to John L. Burt by Rev. J.G. McGregor. They moved from Canada to Ill, in 1871 From there to Iowa to Knox County, Neb. on April 14, 1884, where they lived till her death on Nov. 26 at the age of 60 years, 8 months and 2 days. She leaves a husband, four daughters and two sons, who were with her when death came, also a sister, brother and father, who are living in Canada, to mourn her loss.
