CANFIELD, 64, former Ottumwan, Iowa died at 4:15 p.m. Thursday at a Pittsburgh, Pa Hospital. The son of Torbet C and Almira Canfield, he was born in Wapello County, Iowa February 26, 1888. He lived in Ottumwa, Iowa until 20 years ago when he went to Pittsburg and was employed by the Duquenne Light Co. He was a member of the Ottumwa, Iowa Lodge, No 16, A.F.&A.M. and Clinton Chapter, No. 9, R.A.M. Survivors include a son, Wayne C. Canfield living in Virginia; a daughter, Mrs. Doris Cannell, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Knox and Mrs. Ida Wilkins, both of Ottumwa, Iowa; and a granddaughter and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents. The body will arrive in Ottumwa, Iowa late Sunday afternoon and will be taken to the Johnson Funeral Chapel awaiting completion of arrangements. Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. next Tuesday in charge of the Rev. Myron Hayes of the Willard Street Methodist Church.
