Read More	From "The Edgar Sun", Edgar, Nebraska dated Thursday, December 4, 1969, Page 7: Obituary, Cook – Jesse Willis Cook, youngest son of Lindley N. and Mary James Cook, was born May 20, 1882 in Iowa and passed away in Blue Hill, Nebr. Nov. 20, 1969. Mr. Cook was married to Miss Flora White in June of 1925 and they lived very happily near Fairfield, Oxford, Seneca and in Custer County near Broken Bow, Nebr. Until she passed away June 18, 1950. Mr. Cook was of a very quiet unassuming nature but usually tender hearted. This fact was demonstrated often through his many acts of kindness to relatives and friends. Jess Cook's mother passed away when Jesse was very young. His father was of Quaker Faith and in that atmosphere he raised his family of three daughters and two sons, all of these preceed him in death. Later Mr. Cook united with the Fairfield Congregational Church. He is mourned by cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends, one of whom is Mrs. LeVern Washburn of Fairfield. Services were held in the McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, Clay Center, Nebr. Rev. Keitn Roumpf was clergyman, Mrs. Russell Brodrick, organist and Mrs. Frank Fisher soloist. Pallbearers were Raymond Schliep, Gerald Humbert, Russell Brodrick, Walter Dalluge, Ray Slater Jr., and Ed Schliep. Interment was made in the Fairfield cemetery. Those from a distance attending the services of Mr. Cook were Mary Mitchell and Richard James of Kahoka, Mo.; Bill Yates, Medill, Mo.; and Betha Yates, Luray, Mo.; Mrs. Edwin Marrill and Dale Smock, Scottsbluff, Leonard, Ronald and Lester Smock, Gering; Mr. and Mrs. Len Smith, Fullerton; Bertha Ljungren, Harold White, Harvard; Dwayne Dalluge, Pawnee City and Berneice White, Hastings. [ Jesse Cook was born in Kansas, probably in Fort Scott.]
