Description	:	STRANSKE, JIMMY RAY—Jimmy Ray Stranske was born to Raymond Stranske and Dorothy Kennel Stranske on March 7, 1954, at Lincoln and passed away February 15, 1987, in Madison as a result of a traffic accident at the age of 32 years, 11 months and 8 days. He was one of three children in the family. Jimmy was a graduate of Giltner Public School in 1972. He moved to Geneva in 1973 with his parents to help with the family business. He was one of three children in the family. Jimmy was a graduate of Giltner Public School in 1972. He moved to Geneva in 1973 with his parents to help with the family business. Jim and his brother Gary owned and operated a business in McCool Junction in 1974 until 1977. After selling the business, he returned to Geneva. Jim was a student at Southeast Community College in Lincoln until the time of his death. Jim was married to Mary Donovan of Aberdeen, S.D., in June of 1981 and to them two sons were born, Patrick John and Allen James. Jim was a loving and caring father to his two boys. Jim loved singing and playing in country western bands. His singing was enjoyed by all who ever had a chance to hear him, and he will be missed by all. Jim was preceded in death by his son, Adam Ray Stranske, and mother, Dorothy Stranske. He is survived by two son, Patrick and Allen Stranske of Geneva; his father, Raymond Stranske of Geneva; a brother, Gary and wife Pauletta Stranske of Scottsbluff; a sister, Denise Janssen and husband, John of Geneva, nieces Lisa and Christie Stranske of Scottsbluff and Heather Janssen of Geneva; and aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services were conducted from Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Geneva, on February 18, 1987 with Pastor Elton Walth officiating. Mrs. Norval Lomax provided organ music before and after the services. Bryon Lawrence, Marvin Cook, and Kevin Lawrence sang “One Day at a Time” and “Whispering Hope.” Pallbearers were John Janssen, Leonard Lott, Danny Downey, Rodney Downey, Ron Doremus and Joe Gatto.
