Description	:	Joan Sheryl Temple, 57, daughter of Arleigh and Sophia (Schmidt) Temple, went peacefully into the arms of Jesus, and now is in her heavenly home, on Saturday, June 18, 2011, surrounded by her family and friends. Joan was born April 14, 1954 at Sioux Falls, SD, the daughter of very loving and caring parents, Arleigh and Sophia. Joan grew up on a farm near Davis. She attended Faith School for the Handicapped near Centerville and the Lennox Public School Special Education. She attended the Day Center in Lennox from 1971 until 1998. Joan was born April 14, 1954 at Sioux Falls, SD, the daughter of very loving and caring parents, Arleigh and Sophia. Joan grew up on a farm near Davis. She attended Faith School for the Handicapped near Centerville and the Lennox Public School Special Education. She attended the Day Center in Lennox from 1971 until 1998. From September 2005 until the end of her earthly journey she was a client at South Dakota Achieve and resided at Tennis Lane Group Home in Sioux Falls. Joan was a lifetime member of Second Reformed Church in Lennox. Joan enjoyed working on 4-H projects, bowling, making jewelry, going to Swan Lake Christian Bible Camp, Sunday School and helping Mom and Dad. Grateful for having shared her life are her parents, Arleigh and Sophia Temple, Lennox; one sister, Ardyth DeVries, Holland, MI; one brother and his wife, Harlan and Rita Temple, Davis; special cousins: John and Joyce Stratmeyer of rural Tea; her special family at Tennis Lane Group Home and SD Achieve; several dear nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 24 at II Reformed Church, Lennox with burial to follow at the Lennox Cemetery.
