Description	:	Joann Rushing Mrs. Joann Rushing died April 20, 1908, at the home of her son, William Rushing in South Osceola, after a long and painful illness. Joann Ward was born in Madison County, Ohio, Aug.9, 1827 and was at the time of her death, eighty-one years, eight months and four day old. She was unified in marriage to Bryant Rushing in Illinois June 8, 1844. To this union nine children were born, five boys and four girls; three died in infancy. The living are Mary C... Read More	Joann Rushing Mrs. Joann Rushing died April 20, 1908, at the home of her son, William Rushing in South Osceola, after a long and painful illness. Joann Ward was born in Madison County, Ohio, Aug.9, 1827 and was at the time of her death, eighty-one years, eight months and four day old. She was unified in marriage to Bryant Rushing in Illinois June 8, 1844. To this union nine children were born, five boys and four girls; three died in infancy. The living are Mary C Rushing, Mrs. E.R. Saddoris and Mrs. Martha Benbow of Osceola; Anna Saddoris of Murray and J.E. of Van Wert. She also leaves one brother, Will Ward of Irving, Illinois. Deceased united with the Christian Church fifty years ago and remained a true and faithful member till the last. Her friends are numerous and ardent and her enemies few indeed. But her life-work is ended and she is at rest in the home not made by hands. The funeral occurred in the Christian Church in Osceola conducted by the pastor, Rev. Pennock, and the interment was made in Maple Hill Cemetery by the side of her husband who died May 24, 1903. Osceola Sentinel April 30, 1908
