Description	:	Job C. Rader was born on the 22nd day of August, 1844, at Ptricksburg, Illinois, and died in Morris County, Kansas, April 9th, 1925, in the 81st year of his life. On December 28, 1865, he was united in marriage to Emily S. Yant. To this union was born seven children, four boys and three girls. He enlisted in the U. S. Read More	Job C. Rader was born on the 22nd day of August, 1844, at Ptricksburg, Illinois, and died in Morris County, Kansas, April 9th, 1925, in the 81st year of his life. On December 28, 1865, he was united in marriage to Emily S. Yant. To this union was born seven children, four boys and three girls. He enlisted in the U. S. Army on July 24, 1862, and served his country for three years with valor, nearly nine months of which time was spent in Andersonville prison. On the 10th of June, 1865, received his honorable discharge and has since lived a loyal and worthy citizen, in the favor and support of the country he loved and served so well. He moved to Morris county in 1879 and has lived in this community until he died. He was respected and honored by those who knew him. He professed faith in the Christ and for many years was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Maggie J. Leffler. He is survived by two brothers and one sister: John B. Rader of Kelso, Kansas, George W. Rader of Dwight, Kansas, and Ann Norman of Spencer Ind., also six children, four sons and two daughters, Isaac A., and Melville J. Rader of Montana, Lewis W. Rader of Madison, Kansas, Harry Rader of Council Grove, Kansas, Mrs. S. A. Campbell and Mrs. Minnie McClintock of Council Grove, Kansas, besides 31 grandchildren and 19 great grand children. In a notarized Pension Declaration statement dated May 20, 1913, Job C. Rader declares that he is the identical person who was enrolled at Spencer, Owen County Indiana under the name of Job C. Rader on the 24 day of July, 1862 as a private in Company F Sixth Regimental Indiana Volunteer Cavalry in the Civil war, and was honorably discharged at Camp Chase, Ohio on June 10, 1865. His personal description at enlistment was as follows: Height 5 feet 6 inches; complexion, Fair, color of eyes, Blue, color of hair, Light; that his occupation was Farmer; that he was born May 20, 1843 in Owen County, Indiana.
