Description	:	The Sutton Register (Sutton, NE), Thursday, March 14, 1940 Peter Schwab was born in Alt Denhof, Russia, May 1, 1971 and died at his home near Sutton, Neb., on March 6, 1940 after a long illness; he was 68 years, 10 months and 5 days of age. Confirmation was in Russia, and since 1900 he has been a member of the Sutton Evangelical church (sic). With his wife, Catherine Stienbrecher, he came to Sutton in 1892. Confirmation was in Russia, and since 1900 he has been a member of the Sutton Evangelical church (sic). With his wife, Catherine Stienbrecher, he came to Sutton in 1892. Five children were born to this home. Mrs. Schwab died in 1905. In 1906, he married Mrs. Marie Eckhardt. Three sons were born to this union: Harry died in infancy; Dan and a step-daughter, Pauline Eckhardt, died in April, 1922. Survivors are wife; six sons, Henry of Alameda, Calif; William of Grand Island; Ben, Floyd and Raymond of Sutton; and step-son, Adolph Eckhardt of Sutton; one daughter, Mrs. Henry Scheierman of Longmont, Colo. There are several grandchildren. The funeral service was held Friday afternoon, March 8, from the Evangelical church. Rev. J.L. Arnold was in charge of the services, assisted by Rev. A.H. Schwab of Holstein; burial was in the Sutton cemetery (sic). Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Scheierman of Longmont, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Will Schwab of Grand Island; Mr. and Mrs. P. Meininger and son, John, of Torrington, Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Lebsack and son, Carl of Berthoud, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Jake Walters and daughter, and Mrs. J. Gettman and Florine of Loveland, Colo.; Jake Schwab, an only cousin, of Brighton, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Sam Steinbrecher and H.J. Steinbrecher of Lincoln; Mrs. Tina Scheibel and son, and Jake Scheibel of Grand Island; Mr. and Mrs. H. Youngson of Norman; Mr. and Mrs. Earl England of Harvard; Henry Klein and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Walker of Norfolk; Mrs. J. Wiedersphahn and Esther and Mr. and Mrs. A.L. Valentine of Hastings.
