P. P. Gearen in charge of requiem high mass. Music was furnished by the childrens choir assisted by Sister Magellan at the organ. Burial was made by the side of her departed husband in Sacred Heart cemetery. The pall bearers were Anthony Dahm, Alfred Dahm, James Kiefe, Ray Naberhaus, Herman Puetz, and Ed Brinkman. Mrs. Hannah Kelley, was she oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Drey. She was born in Charlotte, Iowa, July 10, 1861 and 83 years and 29 days. At the age of 83 years and 29 days, at the age of 13 years she came to Sac county, with her parents and-family and settled on a farm northwest of town, which has been continuously occupied since, by the Drey descendants. She was united in marriage to William Kelley, who died February 3, 1928 and to this union, seven children were born, one son dying in infancy. The surviving members are Mary Lucey, Storm Lake, William, Thomas and Mrs. Leone South of Chicago, Alice Higgins of Storm Lake and George of Early. After the marriage of Mrs. Kelley they occupied a farm southwest of town, where her children wore born. A number of years after her husband's death she came to town and made her home with her sons Thomas, and of the late years with George. Mrs. Kelley had been in fairly good health until the past spring when she suffered a slight stroke, but was able to be about. Death came to her unexpectedly last Wednesday afternoon while she was in the garden gathering vegetables, and where she was found soon after. Mrs. Kelley was among the very early settlers of Boyer Valley township and was highly respected by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her many friends. Surviving besides her family, were six sisters namely: Mrs. Kathryn Kelley, Mrs. Elizabeth Drey of Early, Mrs. Rose Engler, Sac City, Mrs. Mary Bright, Brewster, Minn., Mrs. Margaret Brenn, Owassa, Mich., Mrs. Clara Manly, Sioux Falls; and four brothers, Peter of Early, Will of Storm Lake, Ed of Iowa Falls and Frank of Early; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Relatives from out of town attending the funeral were Mrs. Rose Engler, Sac City; Ed Drey, Iowa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. P.L. South and daughter and Mr and Mrs. William L. Kelley and family of Chicago, Mrs. Mary Bright, Brewster, Minn.; Frank Beck, Sioux City; Will Kelley, Rolfe; Mr. and Mrs. E.P Lucey and family and Mr. and Mrs. Al Higgins and daughter of Storm Lake. All of the children attended the funeral except the youngest son, Tom, who was very ill in a hospital in Chicago.
