Mr. Boro, son of the late Joseph and Catharine Cuba Boro, was born May 20, 1882 in Polk county. He farmed in Nance, Platte and Polk counties until retiring a number of years ago. He married Mary Ziemba at Pilsno church in February, 1905 and to this unnion were born five children, Louis, Adolph, and Edmund of Omaha; Mrs. Charles (Clara) Flakus of Santa Monica, Calif.; and Edward of Omaha, who died in October, 1964. Mrs. Boro died Dec. 13, 1918 during the flu epidemic. In July, 1929 Mr. Boro sailed to Zassow, Poland to claim as his bride, Miss Agnieszka Persak; a young woman whom he had never seen. They were married at Zassow in August of that year, and to this union were born two children, Mrs. Everette (Irene) Eschliman of Bellwood and Julian Boro of Columbus. Besides his wife, Agnieszka, and chidren, Mr. Boro is survived by two brothers, Joseph of Texas and Charles of Silver Creek; two sisters, Anna Olson of Fullerton and Vernice Wrubel of Omaha; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Two brothers, Michael and Frank, preceded him in death.
