Description	:	John C. Brown, the youngest child of Logan O. & Jessie (Keith)Brown, was born 9 Sept 1918 in the Penokee area of Graham KS. When John was nine years old, his father passed away. John grew to manhood in Graham County, KS and on 26 July 1939 he married Stella I. Miller in Hill City, KS. To this union four children were born; Charles R., Lola Irene, John LeRoy, and Larry Allen, who died in infancy. John worked as a rancher and farmer most of his life and for the Sheridan County Road Department in his later years, until his retirement.... Read More	John C. John grew to manhood in Graham County, KS and on 26 July 1939 he married Stella I. Miller in Hill City, KS. To this union four children were born; Charles R., Lola Irene, John LeRoy, and Larry Allen, who died in infancy. John worked as a rancher and farmer most of his life and for the Sheridan County Road Department in his later years, until his retirement. In 1997, he and Stella moved from their hometown of Hoxie to Manhattan, KS so they could enjoy the company of their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. John found much pleasure in an old fashioned family reunion; a good card game; playing bingo; or having coffee and visiting with friends and family. Over the many years of his life, he and Stella always had a much-loved dog or two in their home. He enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels and most animals were his friend. John was a gentle, good-hearted man who will be greatly missed by Stella, his wife of 64 years; his children, Charles and wife, Judy, his daughter Lola, all of Manhattan, KS. and John and wife, Sue of Fort Lupton, CO. Eight grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and friends will always have fond memories of John.
